What is a kiln tyre? Kiln tyre, also known as a sliding ring, is the main part of the rotary kiln. It is installed on the rotary kiln cylinder and rotates on the supporting roller, which has the main function of transferring all the gravity of the cylinder to the supporting roller and making the cylinder rotate smoothly on the supporting roller. Therefore, the kiln tyre must have sufficient strength and rigidity.

How To Replace The Kiln Tyre?

1. Suspended Support The Kiln Cylinder

The premise of replacing the kiln tyre is to cutting the rotary kiln cylinder, so the kiln cylinder needs to be suspended and supported in advance. This is conducive to the later connection and relatively safe and reliable.

2. Replace The Kiln Tyre

Cut a small section of the kiln cylinder where the tyre is installed, and then hoist it on the transport vehicle by a crane and transport it to the processing workshop for tyre replacement. After the replacement, it will be delivered back to the production line site.

3. Welding The Kiln Cylinder

Lift the section of the kiln cylinder that has been replaced tyre, and then dock it with the cylinders on both sides for preliminary fixation. After an accurate measurement and confirmation, we can start welding the rotary kiln cylinder.
